How To Transfer Your Domain From Godaddy ?
Posted by Sumit Dhawan on May 2, 2010
You may choose to transfer your domain for not getting adequate services for the money you are spending. A domain transfer is in effect a domain registrar transfer as it means the transfer of the name from one registrar to another. Nowadays you have got more than a hundred registrars to choose from.
For transfer of domain, you should apply to the gaining registrar, as it is responsible for the operation. It is the duty of the gaining registrar to ensure that the application for transfer by the domain owner is a valid one. The validation usually is in the form of an email sent to the admin contact that requires a answer. In some cases, but, signed faxes are used. Losing registrars these days may resort to ‘double-checking.’ In this case, they will perform additional security checks if you seek transfer from them. The losing registrars may question you to answer to an email, or dispatch a notarized letter.
There are a large number of registrars that provide cheap rates for transfer of domain names. Most of them charge less than $10 for the first year and adds another additional year to your present registration term. Moreover, many of them have special prices for bulk domain transfers if you have more than one name to transfer.
Some of the registrars offer complete email for all new domain registrations, transfers and renewals. Get your own personalized email address and 25MB total storage. They are absolutely free. If the transfer fails for one reason or the other, they will refund your fee. The rate of discount sometimes depends on the domain you want to register because some domain extensions are costlier than others.
GoDaddy, TopBusinessDomains, LuckyRegister, IndiaInternets, Domain Names help4u, 2CreateAWebsite, Namecheap, and RegisterFly are some of the places where you can look for cheap domain transfer.
What Is 2 Tier Affiliate Programs ?
Posted by Sumit Dhawan on May 1, 2010
How will refering new affiliates to an affiliate program make me money in the future? Thats where a 2 tier affiliate program works like magic!
Affiliates are getting cleverer by the day. So these days, affiliates know the difference between the different types of traffic they can get paid for. There are a lot of definitions though – CPM, CPC, CPA, CPL, CPD and many more.
CPM is impressions, when the publisher (the website owner) gets paid every time a banner is shown.
CPC is clicks, where the publisher (or email marketer and other marketers) gets paid every time a banner or text link is clicked upon.
The other ways of getting paid are grouped together under the term performance marketing – and this is where the term affiliate is most commonly used as well.
An affiliate is a marketer who sends visitors to another site using a variety of methods (such as placing banners or text links on their own site, buying sponsored listings on search engines, email marketing and many other different methods) and gets paid when an action happens. This action can be a lead (CPL stands for Cost per Lead), a Sale (CPS stands for Cost per Sale), a download (CPD stands for Cost per download) and many other variations.
Some in the Internet industry refer to performance based marketing as CPA (cost per acquisition), although the term is also sometimes used for specific types of campaigns such as leads or sales.
Now that we’ve got over the hard part, the rest is easy to understand.
Why I Choose Article Marketing on RANK 1 ?
Posted by Sumit Dhawan on Apr 30, 2010
Article marketing seems to be the buzz word in web website marketing and SEO (search engine optimization) lately. I’ve had a lot of people question me– what exactly is article marketing? Why is it so well loved? And how is it done?
Well, the whole point of Internet marketing is to get people to notice your website out of the thousands and thousands of websites out there. There is small point in taking the time and going to the expense of having a business website if no one ever sees it.
So, how do you get people to visit your website? That is where web marketing comes in. Internet web website marketing is a specialization in the marketing industry, who’s whole point is to bring in those “hits” on a website, and with those hits comes profit for the business.
There are a lot of ways that web marketing is done. One of the largest is search engine optimization or SEO. This is the art of getting the huge search engines to notice you, and place your website higher on the list of websites that come up when a person searches for something you sell. SEO can include website design, careful writing and keyword research, and pay-per-click advertising.
There are other ways to market a website. You can place an ad in your local newspaper or place your web address on all your business cards and correspondence. This is more of a traditional type of marketing, and there is nothing incorrect with that. It has been around a long time because it works.
But my personal favorite is article marketing. This is where you write an article about a subject that you are an expert on, and that relates to your website business or leisure activity. You place a small ad with a link at the bottom of the article that goes to your website. Then you publish your article for free, to anyone who wants to use it in their newsletter, website, or blog.
You find people who want to publish your article by placing it in article directories, where web publishers go to find excellent content. The web publishers are pleased to get new content, and you get people who read your article and follow the link to your website. Your article can get picked up by hundreds (or thousands) of people looking for something to place on their website, blog or ezine.
Now you end up with links to your website all over the Internet, and this in turn helps with SEO. Now the search engines start noticing you. And you don’t have to worry about reciprocal links
How You Can Use Your Website Traffic For Affiliate Marketing Success
Posted by Sumit Dhawan on Apr 30, 2010
As an affiliate, your main objective is to sell the products and services offered by your partner merchants. Unless you can do this, you can never hope to make a significant amount of money with affiliate marketing programs. So how do you boost sales? All things being same, you will need to increase your website traffic before you can go through more sales. By the law of averages, the more people are known of the products you are offering, the more products you will sell.
Here are a few tips that can help you boost your website traffic:
1. Optimize for the search engines. The most succeed websites on the internet are the most visible ones. Now there are various ways to achieve increased visibility on the internet, but the foremost method is that of search engine optimization. The details are too technical to discuss here, but the purpose of search engine optimization (SEO) is to help your website achieve higher rankings on the search engines. If you have used a search engine, you will notice that any specific keyword search will return thousands, if not millions of results. Most people will not bother to browse through all those results; they will prefer to look into the websites already showed. Statistically speaking, the websites listed on the first results page will garner the highest amount of traffic, putting those websites in a better position to make money.
2. Joining internet directories. While internet directories are no longer as widely used as search engines, some people do use them. It is vital that you do not overlook the potential customers that these directories can bring to your website. To join an internet directory, you will have to submit your website for approval, and you will be categorized accordingly.
3. Provide fresh content. Your website must continually be updated if you expect your visitors to keep coming back. Your website must have useful content, as well as tools that will help your target audience. Make your website as simple to navigate as possible, and be sure that your links work the way that they should. There is nothing that frustrates people more than a “broken” website, and once your website has been labeled as such, chances are slim that many people will want to come back.
4. Build an online community. In other words, build relationships with your potential customers. Make your visitors feel welcome and appreciated, and they are likely to come back. Be interested in solving their problems and they will thank you with their business.
Making your affiliate marketing program work is really not that much different from operating a traditional business. The only way you can keep your customers is to treat them right. The Japanese have a saying: The customer is God. As long as you treat your customers with respect and exert effort in trying to meet their needs, you will find that they will be more than willing to help you with yours.
